In the Supreme Court of India, court rules are very strict: not just any advocate is allowed to file your case. Only a lawyer who has practiced extensively and successfully cleared the challenging examinations conducted by the Supreme Court is officially designated as an Advocate-on-Record (AOR).
An Advocate-on-Record has the exclusive legal authority to file your petition, sign vakalatnamas, rectify registry objections, and be officially responsible for your matter before the apex court. While senior advocates appear to argue during hearings, the entire foundation, filing, and procedural stewardship is led by the AOR.
Under the Supreme Court Rules 2013, only an AOR is recognized by the Court Registry to submit and represent petitions.
The Supreme Court has strict 90-day appeal deadlines. An AOR ensures delays are properly explained and condoned.
When there is an immediate emergency (eviction, arrest, demolition), the AOR coordinates urgent mentioning before the Court.
If you are facing any of the following situations, our Chambers can examine whether your matter qualifies for an appeal or writ petition.
Facing eviction from your residential house or shop? Threat of illegal demolition? Family land partition disputes or agricultural land acquisitions?
Need urgent anticipatory bail or regular bail after rejection by the High Court? Wrongful imprisonment or seeking quashing of fabricated criminal cases?
Is a divorce, maintenance, or domestic case running in another state making it unsafe or difficult for you to travel? The Supreme Court can transfer it to your home city.
Unfair termination from a government job, denied promotions, arbitrary disciplinary action, or withheld pension after decades of public service?
Has a real estate builder failed to deliver possession of your flat for years? Cheating by financial companies, or insurance claim rejected unfairly?
Disputes under Section 138 (dishonored cheques), commercial contract breaches, recovery of business dues, or arbitration appeals.
Challenging orders passed by the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) regarding corporate insolvency, debt resolution, or director disputes.
Direct petitions under Article 32 when government departments, police, or state authorities act arbitrarily or violate your basic constitutional rights.
You do not need to understand complex court rules. Our Chambers guides you through every step.
Use the consultation chat on this page to share what happened in simple everyday words and attach your court orders or notices.
